The 1.10 version is supposed to be able to put snow on the mountain tops during the correct times of the year and eventually is supposed to provide seasonal textures what will work on all textures, default and ortho. It limits the number of layers to 3 from what I've read. From the preliminaries and discussions I've seen and read on the 1.10 development it should perform better than the existing versions of 圎nviro, but that remains to be seen. To their defense they started with a premise that worked initially in XP11 but then LR changed things and 圎nviro was forced to redesign their engine from the ground up. I've already spent my money on 圎nviro and have been very disappointed so far. While I would really like to have a good weather engine I'm not going to jump on Active Sky for XP right away. So if you took what I said onboard then thats your issue, not mine. Why will I be buying in? To show support for what is to come. Active Sky is a completely different matter. As I said, there are people that bought into an unknown company producing 圎nviro, that is still way off the mark 2 years down the line and are still trying to defend it.
But as soon as AS is available in its entirety, then I'm in I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about the people saying it is all hype. I'll carry on using Xplane default clouds with FS Global Weather.
